We remember and honour our dear friend co-founder Louise Bracken-Smith, who left an indelible mark on the 745 Breakfast Club and the lives of those she touched. Louise was a visionary and a trailblazer, whose dedication to creating connections and promoting businesses in a relaxed, social space laid the foundation for our beloved Breakfast Club.
Back in 2004, Louise, along with our longest-standing founder, Rod Bryans, saw an opportunity to bridge the gap in the market. They recognised the need for an informal business forum where like-minded individuals from all sectors could meet, network, and build meaningful relationships. Thus, the 745 Breakfast Club was born.
In the realm of the 745 Breakfast Club, Louise’s warmth and enthusiasm were infectious. Starting with just 40 carefully selected individuals, the Club quickly blossomed into a thriving community of over 200 members. Louise played a pivotal role in shaping the Club’s ethos, encouraging members to share their businesses and expertise in two-minute presentations. Her genuine support and encouragement cultivated an environment of collaboration, growth, and friendship.
Louise’s career in the international finance sector spanned over three decades, during which she fearlessly climbed the ranks to become one of the few women to hold a senior position in the financial services sector during the early 2000s. Her journey led her to establish Fairway Trust Limited, where her passion for the Private Client world thrived. Notably, Louise set a world record by completing her STEP exams in just eight months, a testament to her determination and brilliance.
As a multi-award-winning Trustee, Louise was recognised as a leader in her field, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues, clients, and industry peers. Beyond her professional achievements, she was a strong advocate for wellbeing, leading by example as a talented athlete who represented Ireland in the veteran age group at the 2019 Triathlon World Championships.
Louise Bracken-Smith was more than just a successful businesswoman; she was a caring, happy, and full-of-life individual who embraced every moment with enthusiasm and joy. Her vibrant spirit and warm smile uplifted everyone around her, making her a beloved friend and co-founder of the 745 Breakfast Club. Whether she was supporting her fellow entrepreneurs or excelling in her athletic pursuits, Louise’s passion and positivity were contagious, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we remember and honour her memory, we also celebrate the beautiful soul that brought so much light into our lives.
But Louise’s impact extended far beyond her professional life. She was a loving and devoted wife to Pete and a caring mother to four wonderful children—Harvey, Freddie, Max, and Georgie. Her family was her anchor, and her love for them knew no bounds.
As we bid farewell to our co-founder, we honour Louise’s memory by carrying forward the spirit of the Breakfast Club she helped create. Her legacy will forever inspire us to continue forging connections, empowering one another, and supporting businesses on their journey to success.
To Louise’s family and friends, we extend our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences. Please know that you are not alone in your grief, as the 745 Breakfast Club community stands together, remembering the remarkable woman who touched our lives and made a lasting impact.
Rest in peace, dear Louise. Your light will forever shine upon us, guiding us as we continue to grow and flourish as a community in your honour.
“Though she may be gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts.”
